I shot this last Christmas while family was over for gift trading/opening. The poor cat was NOT pleased with us. So I made sure to capture his joy.

I really wish I could say that I could take credit for him sitting next to the Hello Kitty box. But I cannot. All the comedic credit goes to the cat.

Twiggy’s Pink Fedora

There are days where I cannot, for the life of me, get Twiggy to cooperate with me.

Then there are days like this. I grab the camera and a light and say “Hey let’s go outside and shoot some pictures!”

She says excitedly, “YAY!” and I capture a couple of shots like this.

She’s a good kid, I just can’t seem control WHEN she’s good.

Worldwide Photo Walk Leader Competition Results

You may recognize this image, I posted it recently when I discussed being a leader for the Worldwide Photo Walk. You can Click Here to read about it.

Scott Kelby (the guy who started the whole thing) decided to do a contest for just the leaders. The above image was my submission.

The winner was announced last Friday, 11/11/11: Winner of the Worldwide Photo Walk

In that post Scott was cool enough to include a link to a slideshow of 20 other images that were in the running up until the end. I was shocked to see my image was one of those 20 finalists!! Click here to see the images (mine is #12).

To put things in perspective, there were over 1,100 photo walks. I don’t know how many leaders submitted to the contest, but it would be safe to assume that there were many hundreds. Regardless, the final group of 20 is great and I’m very happy to be included in the group. And Scott Kelby is a great photographer on his own, catching his attention is hugely validating.

Thanks again to Scott Kelby for organizing these photo walks! I really enjoy them and have grown as a result. He even inspired my friends and I to spawn our own photo walk group: Rogue Photowalk

Halloween 2011 :: The Cowardly Lion

As I had promised on Friday, here is my favorite image from the Halloween special, The Cowardly Lion.

Look at those eyes! She’s like the human version of Puss In Boots from the Shrek movie. When she leaves the room, you’re left wondering why your wallet is empty and the car keys are missing. I feel for her parents, they’re doomed.
